Welcome to the 2026 NYC Sushi Discount List
Editor’s Note: This blog is part of the “2026 New York City Sushi Guide” presented by Ledge Headwear. The digital guide features a number of articles, collections, “best ofs” and “What to dos” for the Big Apple, and can accessed directly at NYCSushiGuide.com. As always, we appreciate your support of the blog and Ledge Headwear, the designer cap brand I founded (with some Canada Goose alums) designed in New York and handmade in the hills of Piemonte at a generational family factory.
Let’s get this out of the way: I have no idea why I put this list together. I suppose, like any addict, I enjoy the cheap stuff from time to time.
I’m not alone. Take Genkiya in NoLita. 50% off at 8:00pm, but at 7:30, you’ll see people lined up with sushi. They’re off to the side, 30 deep, just waiting. Straight out of Group 4 on United.
This is one of those things that helps everyone; markets get rid of their sushi, we get a deal, and no one has to hide that tomorrow’s sushi was actually made yesterday.
Which brings me to markets not on this list, and really one specifically in Soho. Let’s call it sunset. May I ask what exactly you’re doing with your reams of prepared sushi and ingredients when you close at 8:00pm? Everything’s labeled as prepared day of. Curious. Curious indeed.

Cheers as always.
